Find Matches
Is this photo already in my library?
Screens
What it does
A picture arrives in a message, a download or on a memory card, and you are not sure you already have it. Drop it anywhere on the Unicadr window, or choose it from disk. It is fingerprinted the same way as the library and looked up in seconds, without being copied or changed.
How it works
Exact and similar
Byte-identical copies are listed first, then look-alikes with a percentage score and a label from Near identical to Possibly similar.
Evidence you can read
Each match says why it matched: identical bytes, the same resolution or capture time, and the descriptor and perceptual scores behind the percentage.
Reads the content, not the name
A HEIC saved with a .jpg extension, or a file with no extension at all, is recognised by what is inside it.
Your threshold
Matches from 70 % are found and those under 85 % are hidden by default. One control brings the weaker ones back.
Good to know
- Works for photos and videos
- The file is only read, never changed or copied
- Same three-stage engine as Find Duplicates
- Compare any match side by side
