What it does
Before you copy a card or a folder of downloads into your library, Import checks every file in it against what you already have. New files, files already in the library, similar versions and repeats inside the folder itself are sorted out for you.
How it works
Import copies or moves only the files you select, and moves duplicates in the import folder to the Bin only when you ask it to.
Know what is new
Each file is marked New, Already in library, Similar (with its score and the library copy it resembles) or Repeat in folder.
Filed by capture date
New files go into the chosen library folder as YYYY/YYYY.MM Month, reusing a month folder when one already exists.
Copy or move
Copy the selected files into the library or move them, then send the duplicates left in the import folder to the Bin to free the space.
Good to know
- Choose which library folder receives the files
- Month folders are created only when needed
- Checked with the same matching engine
- Nothing is copied until you say so
